 unwraps a star-studded December lineup packed with acclaimed dramas, steamy thrillers, cult classics, and more—airing in primetime all month long. The roster features Kevin Bacon and Bill Murray in a thrilling WILD THINGS block; Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta-Zones in a ZORRO two-pack; Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts in the network premiere of THE IMPOSSIBLE; a special tribute to Richard PryorBrad Pitt in A RIVER RUNS THROUGH IT; and a Christmas Day Westerns Marathon starring James StewartAudie Murphy, and Randolph Scott, among others.

 WILD THINGS Block—Thurs., December 1 at 10 p.m. ET

Take a walk on the wild side with SMC, as the network puts the spotlight on the fan-favorite WILD THINGS franchise. The block kicks off at 10 p.m. ET, with Matt Dillon as a teacher wrongfully accused of assaulting students Neve Campbell and Denise Richards in this steamy thriller that also stars Kevin Bacon and Bill Murray. And insurance investigator Isaiah Washington uncovers a twisted web of lies, lust, and betrayal in WILD THINGS 2, at 11:50 p.m. ET.

  

ZORRO—Fri., December 2 at 10 p.m. ET

SMC presents a night of swashbuckling and romance in this daring double-feature, starring Antonio Banderas as a reformed thief who trains to take down a devious Don in THE MASK OF ZORRO, with Anthony Hopkins and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Then, Banderas and Zeta-Jones uncover a secret society’s sinister plot to overthrow the United States in THE LEGEND OF ZORRO, with Rufus Sewell, at 12:20 a.m. ET.

  

THE IMPOSSIBLE (2012)—Network Premiere—Sun., December 4 at 7 p.m. ET

Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts star as a husband and wife whose idyllic getaway becomes a nightmare when their family is caught in the devastating 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, in this incredible true story that features Tom Holland in his big screen debut.

  

Richard Pryor—Tues., December 6 at 10 p.m. ET

SMC celebrates groundbreaking icon Richard Pryor with this side-splitting two-pack, kicking off at 10 p.m. ET as Pryor delivers a career-defining set that is simultaneously heartfelt, honest, and hilarious, in RICHARD PRYOR: LIVE ON THE SUNSET STRIP. Then, Pryor makes his directorial debut in the 1983 part-documentary, part-standup hybrid RICHARD PRYOR… HERE AND NOW, where he gives his unique take on race, drugs, and meeting President Reagan, at 11:25 p.m. ET. Both films will re-air in a special encore broadcast on New Year’s Eve, starting at 10 p.m. ET. Pryor, who passed away on December 10, 2005, would have celebrated his 76TH birthday on December 1.

  

THE NINTH GATE (2000)—Thurs., December 8 at 10 p.m. ET

Rare book dealer Johnny Depp gets more than he bargained for, when a collector (Frank Langella) hires him to track down a series of books believed to have been written by the Devil, himself, in this supernatural chiller directed by Roman Polanski.

   

DAS BOOT (1982)—Sun., December 11 at 7 p.m. ET

Visionary Wolfgang Petersen directs this taut WW2 drama starring Jürgen Prochnow as the captain of a German sub trying to stay afloat during the Battle of the Atlantic.
