The underwater thriller stars Nick Nolte and Jacqueline Bisset as a couple hunting for treasure in Bermuda. The idyllic getaway soon becomes a nightmare, however, when their exploration of a treacherous shipwreck puts them in the path of a deadly drug lord (Louis Gossett Jr.). Robert Shaw and Eli Wallach also star. The film was written by Benchley, based on his 1976 novel of the same name, and featured disco legend Donna Summer on the Golden Globe-nominated theme “Down Deep Inside.”
